Hi! I'm Olivia, a recent Cognitive Science Design and Interaction graduate of UCSD. Driven by an individual creative voice and passion for human-centered design, I work across visual design and frontend development to reflect and accommodate the thoughtful, complex human experience. I bring a sharp eye and technical fluency to every project—transforming ideas into bold, intuitive visuals.
At Structured Labs, I helped shape Preswald: a declarative, browser-native framework for expressive data visualization. I designed and developed interactive interfaces that translate complex datasets into fluid visual narratives.
In one example, I created a real-time interface that visualizes bot behavior by restructuring binary and engagement data with Python, and implementing the experience using TypeScript, custom React components, and Preswald's declarative language to surface hidden patterns through motion and design.By aligning technical structure with user perception, I turned raw metrics into readable, emotionally resonant design.

BestBuds began as a passion project but is now a fully functional mobile UX/UI prototype and physical kiosk that is designed to recommend personalized seed packets based on lifestyle and self-care goals. I led interaction design and prototyping efforts with a focus on emotional resonance, and blending playful visuals with functional flow. The project was rooted in enhancing everyday wellbeing through design, was showcased at UCSD's design convention and celebrated for its creative blend of digital and physical experience.

Working at the San Diego Super Computer center... as an intern, my colleagues and I worked to create a meal planning application called 'BulbaBites'. This application was designed to cultivate custom meal plans and recipes based upon the users preferences, dietary restrictions, budget, and fitness goals. Working as a frontend developer on a team of like-minded, driven peers was a very rewarding learning experience. Consequently, I was able to gain insight into the dynamics of a comprehensive design and development team.
